Don't Starve Together is one of those survival games that is still pulling big crowds a decade on, and its console is a big part of why builders and tinkerers love it.
Spawn a stack of logs, flip on god mode to test a boss fight, or unlock every recipe in a click. Here is how to open the console and the commands worth keeping in your back pocket.
To start, press the tilde key, the one above Tab, or the apostrophe key to bring up the console.
If nothing happens, open your settings.ini file and change console_enabled = false to console_enabled = true, then relaunch. One key detail: press Ctrl to switch between local and remote console modes. Remote applies your command across the whole server, which is what you usually want, and you need to be the host or a server admin for most commands to work.
Type these into the console, brackets and all:

Items and creatures use internal prefab names rather than their in game labels, so c_give and c_spawn need the exact string.
Logs are log, gold is goldnugget, and a pigman is pigman. The c_give command only works with items that fit in your inventory, while DebugSpawn drops a prefab right under your mouse cursor.

In remote mode these commands affect the entire server, so be careful on worlds you share with friends, since a stray god mode or spawn can change the run for everyone.
Back up your save before heavy experimenting, and if you host a public server, hand out admin access sparingly.
