Best NASCAR 26 Wheel Settings for Logitech G29 and G920
By Ian | September 24, 2026
If you take nothing else from this page, take this. NASCAR 26 is built around a 270 degree steering angle. Set your rotation higher and the game stops reading your input at 270 degrees while the force feedback keeps going past it, which produces a genuinely disorienting disconnect between what your hands feel and what the car does, per Brian Koponen.
That is why so many people bounce off this game on a wheel and assume the physics are broken. Most of the time the physics are fine. The steering angle is wrong. The fix is two numbers that have to match: G HUB Operating Range at 270, and in game Wheel Max Rotation at 270.

To build a profile just for this game, point G HUB at the game's launcher inside the NASCAR 26 install folder, under Maverick, then Binaries, then Win64.

Why These Numbers
Steering Range 100 gives you linear steering. The in game wheel then matches your physical wheel one to one, which is what you want on an oval where your corrections are small and constant.
Strength at 95, not 100. At full strength the G29 and G920 hit their ceiling and produce a grinding gears sensation when the forces peak. Dropping five points keeps the peaks inside the motor's range.
Balance at 75. This lifts the lighter forces so you can actually feel them on a gear driven wheel, including near center, which is most of your steering input on a superspeedway.
Overdrive at 0. It is not needed here and it introduces heavy clipping mid corner, so you lose detail exactly when you need it.
Spring Strength at 0. Spring is a constant pull toward center. It adds nothing on these wheels and masks real information.
Good News on the Deadzone
The G29 and G920 have a long standing force feedback deadzone around center. NASCAR 26's force feedback settings are built to compensate for it, and with the Balance value above it is effectively not an issue in this game, per Brian Koponen.
If Your Wheel Shudders
That was a real bug, not your hardware. iRacing shipped a fix for wheels that would roughly shudder or vibrate in the September 16 patch on Xbox, PlayStation, and Steam. Make sure you are patched before you spend an evening tuning around it.
FAQ
What are the best G29 settings for NASCAR 26?
Operating Range 270 in G HUB, and in game Steering Range 100, Wheel Max Rotation 270, Strength 95, Balance 75, Collision 50, Overdrive 0, Friction 100, Spring 0.
Why does my wheel feel disconnected in NASCAR 26?
Almost always the steering rotation. Set both G HUB Operating Range and the in game Wheel Max Rotation to 270 so they match the game's 270 degree design.
Why 95 strength instead of 100?
At 100 the G29 and G920 clip and feel like grinding gears at peak force. 95 keeps the strongest forces inside the motor's range.
Do the G29 settings work for the G920?
Yes. The G29 and G920 share the same force feedback hardware, so these values apply to both.
