'Second Extinction' Pre-Season 7 Out Now

By Nick | November 29, 2021

Systemic Reaction has debuted Pre-Season 7 of Second Extinction, the action-packed co-op shooter in which you and your friends battle mutated dinosaurs across a devastated world. Pre-Season 7 delivers a new weapon, new seasonal contracts and rewards, and a host of other improvements. The free update is playable now on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC via Steam, the Microsoft Store, and the Epic Games Store.

Pre-Season 7 Features:

  • New Secondary Weapon -- Hand Cannon
  • New seasonal contracts and rewards
  • Horde Mode extraction is now possible from Wave 4
  • Basic Training (tutorial) is now the first mission for new players (but you can skip it, too)
  • Balance changes to all player equipment

Second Extinction pits teams of up to three players against swarms of bloodthirsty dinos in fast-paced battles across Earth’s post-apocalyptic wastelands. Equip a range of uniquely powerful weapons and abilities and fight on your own or with friends against monstrous dinosaurs long thought extinct — now mutated and deadlier than ever! The War Effort is Second Extinction’s community-driven global metagame: by completing missions and activities, you’ll directly impact the threat level and challenges players around the world face.

Second Extinction is available on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, the Microsoft Store for PC, and Xbox Game Pass for consoles and PC via Xbox Game Preview. It is also available in PC early access via Steam and the Epic Games Store.
