LA Rams' Surprising Resilience: From a Seahawks Victory to Holding Ground Against the 49ers
Do you know what's an underrated joy in life? Drifting. No, I'm not talking about the kind where you stuff all your belongings in a duffle bag and hitchhike your way from one end of the country to the other. I'm talking about the kind of drifting you do with a car. So if you enjoy this type of racing, then Slipstream by Ansdor Studios, has plenty of it.
With retro inspired graphics and synthesized sound effects, Slipstream pays tribute to the classic racing game, most notably, Outrun, by Sega. And despite Slipstream being released in 2018, the developers still give it plenty of love for their game with frequent updates and a competitive online multiplayer 4 player mode, as well as Time Trial, and Battle Royale.
When it comes to gameplay, you can't ask for anything better than this arcade racer. Slipstream takes you on an exhilarating ride through 20 captivating tracks set in diverse locations that transport you to the pulsating streets of Tokyo all the way to the breathtaking deserts of the American West.
With every level boasting its own distinct visual and atmospheric charm, the real thrill lies in the heart-pounding races themselves. Whether it's skillfully maneuvering a sharp turn and expertly tapping the brakes to glide through a corner like a seasoned pro, each race is a testament to the sheer joy and excitement that awaits you on every turn.
While some may dismiss the racing mechanics, particularly those who believe drifting is the sole path to victory, I look at it with a different view. Slipstream as a whole, presents an enticing departure from the mundane routine of merely racing around turns. True, one can simply ease off the accelerator without resorting to drifts, but let's not deny the undeniable allure that drifting adds to the equation.
The actual feel of a well-timed drfit is an awe-inspiring sensation that permeates through your spine when it is skillfully deployed. So, while I understand the skepticism, let's embrace the distinctive charm and undeniable "wow" factor that accompanies the judicious use of this technique. Plus, it looks cool as heck.
So if you're in the mood for some fast paced arcade action, I highly recommend checking out the game on Steam and consider purchasing a copy while you're there.
