DreamLit, an emerging indie studio, has announced a new title that appears to draw inspiration from recent Legend of Zelda games. The game, called Towers of Aghasba, was unveiled during the PlayStation Showcase with a short trailer. In this mystical adventure game, players assume the role of a young hero who must gather resources to rebuild their community's sacred city. The game promises a vast fantasy world, massive creatures, and a mission to restore the natural environment.

The Towers of Aghasba trailer showcases a gameplay experience that bears resemblance to The Legend of Zelda in several aspects. Similar to Tears of the Kingdom, players gather natural resources to construct homes for their people.
Additionally, the combat and traversal mechanics in Towers of Aghasba share similarities with recent Zelda titles. The protagonist is shown engaging in activities such as hunting with a bow, riding on a horse-like creature, and using a glider to navigate across gaps.
Towers of Aghasba, has a distinct identity with its island-inspired aesthetic, while Tears of the Kingdom is only available on the Nintendo Switch, leaving space for a refined, Zelda-esque adventure on the PlayStation 5. It remains to be seen if Towers of Aghasba will achieve the same level of success as recent Legend of Zelda titles, but the trailer is highly encouraging.
The game is slated for a 2024 release.
