Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick reported that the substantial GTA 6 leak from the previous year had caused emotional anguish to Rockstar's personnel.
Strauss Zelnick, during Take-Two's most recent financial earnings call, commented on the impact of GTA 6's leak on the development team and stated that leaks were taken very seriously and resulted in disappointment and frustration across the organization.
However, he continued, it did not impact the day-to-day operations and that everyone on the team committed to simply moving towards a 'business as usual' mentality, despite the setbacks.
Late last year, the video game industry was taken by surprise when bits and pieces of unfinished gameplay footage from GTA 6 were slowly being leaked. Although incomplete, some details about its setting, environment, and protagonists could be gleaned from these small snippets. Nonetheless, much about the game remained undisclosed.
